Anybody have any good tips for telling the difference between scavs and pmcs? I'm just not getting the whole "kitted out vs not" thing, especially if it's dark.

There's some scav clothing that's basically camo, not the usual track suit

Use the tree lines and low ground to move around the map. Don't run, avoid making bush noises

If you kill something, don't stick around too long to loot. And if someone shoots at you, don't look, just run.

Oh, and know how to get around without seeing high traffic areas. A compass helps.

I'd think of it in terms of real combat. If its a close ambush, turn and burn your mag into the enemy. They'll die, or you will. You try to run, they're going to get you. Long range ambush you may be able to evade and escape.

So for outskirts, if you approach on the left, people know to look there, but there's some good low ground that will get you to the car from the cabin.

Ahhh ok. Don't follow the lake all the way to the car. At some point, you'll see two big boulders. They'll give you good cover, and then just past the second one is a trench that you can move into and avoid being seen.
