Buckshot and magnum buckshot are scary than slug, because buckshot has more projectiles to hit you. If you dont use ap20, you aren't gonna hit center mass people with your shitty slug and instead you shoot people leg-stomach-arm. With buckshot and magnum buckshot it is more forgiveness even 10-15 metters since buckshot projectiles so spread out but not so much to hit multiple spot like arm and leg. If someone don't painkiller before fighting you they literally sitting duck. If you black out his arms then their TTK is longer than usual because they cannot ADS anymore and rely on point fire skill and have trouble with arms shaking (lower accuracy).

This is my health pool after I CMS'd all the limb I lost when I took 1 magnum buckshot from someone, luckly I headshot'd that guy before he can hit the second shot.

I’m not saying that flechette and ap-20 are bad. I assume you are new to the game so you have to rely on something easy to hit rather than using something else difficult to hit but rewarding. If you good at headshot, SuperFormance is your friend. Easy to get on scav. Otherwise stick with buckshot if you play mostly on CQB map like factory.
