you can still fast peak and jiggle peak, you just have to be a lot more selective with your inputs because BSG made the movement inputs funky. If you hold one strafe input while you hit the key to strafe the other way, it'll carry you more in the original direction before following the second input direction. If you let go once the initial inertia is over, you'll instantly start moving in the other direction. You can also do something similar with normal leaning for incredibly quick peaks even when overweight.

either way though, your issues with the game rn seem to be more encompassing then just inertia and you're just a little heated because you lost something incredibly valuable that you didn't even buy on purpose. I just take long breaks from the game when shit like that happens, since it's usually me getting frustrated in general with stuff and the game obviously isn't helping itself or you at the current point.

They’re very expensive and you need to be a certain level for different clothing items, and some of the higher tier clothing items not only require extremely high-level but also the completion of a quest.
