That's due to how the game works with the hp subtractions and what not with decimal values, its possible to survive a headshot from something like a 9mm round if its far away enough with damage drop off, but you'll be at literally 0 hp or just 1, so that 3 hp is probably closer to lower values

Here’s what I think happened
The guy was running a dvl and killed shturman and a few guards.
After looting shturman, he took the survkit out to make space for the presumed labs card and stash key.

what I would do is sell the ak-105 and buy an ak-103 because it's 7.62. Without mods you will have to tap fire it. And buy cheap armor. If you see sights on scavs or players, just take them off, attachments are worth more than gun most of the time.

7.62 guns (personally I dislike AKM but ak100 series is pretty good imo) have alot of damage and penetration power with more recoil, 5.45 are just ass, take off most of the attachments and sell it to mechanic instantly. Unless you get tryhard rounds you cant do shit. What I would do in most raids is get a tactical rig from scavs or raiders or even pmcs in my backpack that I would store magazines and attachments in. That way I make alot of profit, armor for the slot is not worth it if you completely fill up the tactical rig with attachments because you will get more profit, try to get guns in your backpack, in both of your slots and you shouldn't carry a knife at all so you have spot for rare knifes (taiga, red rebel) or even get common knifes that are worth alot (camping hatchet, antique hatchet) If you find anything worth over 20k instantly put it in your pouch for maximal profit. (also depends if ur meds are over 20k, if they are then it's not worth.) Try getting keys and unlocking some good areas, dorm keys are pretty worth at low level, another good one is usec stash for attachments and checkpoint for nades. Stacking nades can get you alot of money, cheapest is 10k I think. @glacial mirage

Also go for barrel cache's and stashes, those can get you alot of money early game.

if you picked usec, I recommend u switch out your m4 pistol grip and stock for an adar stock, it helps with recoil, and add a cheap sight + a cheap foregrip (dont go for vertical grip from peacekeeper, it doesn't reduce vertical recoil) and then take it out with somewhat of a good armor, even if you die you will get more experienced in the game.

thats sad, but the gun was only worth around 160k with the red attachments so its not big of a loss, I recommend u always get basic scav protection (cheap armor + helmet will work)

vpo 209 and 136 are my favorite starter weapons and they go towards the AKM series weapon mastery. You could use those weapons with a suppresor from Skier LL1 and destroy, just get good ammo in the mag.

as long as you dont use cheap ammo and full auto on a stock gun you will be fine, open your phone and type "customs map" in google and press on images. Keep it infront of you. For 209 ammo you should get the .366 FMJ ammo. You will need Jager LL1 for it though. If you have any questions about the game you can discord friend me and I can help you. for mags basically you right click to bring up info, there will be this like arrow pointing down, you hover your mouse over it and it will show available. PS gzh is the best 7.62 ammo for beginners, it's unlocked at prapor LL1 and can melt through level 4 armor.
