Sounds like your mind is made up but I'd argue different. KS is very powerful on factory but beyond 15 or so meters is fairly useless. Using magnum buck isn't too different from shrap 10, especially considering mangum has better range. The KS has it's pros and cons, and can be powerful at times and on certain maps, but overall it definitely isnt broken.

In my honest opinion, do your best to not kill scavs (as a scav), because the lower your karma the longer your timer is as well as the more hostile they'll be toward you. Harder to get loot on scav runs

Not one shot but you can spam magnum/flechette/ap20 really fast through a MP 153. I killed a guy with a hexgrid, caiman, MK47 on factory in ONE single KS23 hit. Yeah, it felt broken, but then I remember all the times I shoot people in the torso/legs and it doesnt kill them or the times Im outranged even only 10 meters away.

Its not really that hard. You'll start to learn the type of clothing and the AI movement patterns and you'll quickly find out who's a playerscav and who's a pmc and who's a scav.

It takes a little time, but trust me, the more you use your scav the easier it'll be to tell.

honestly starting out, I think running your scav more often is the best way to learn maps with no penalty + loot. Using your PMC you always have a higher chance of dying no matter what

I try to avoid all scavs and players to lower the risk of fights at all. I have a 2.5 scav karma from avoiding fights and I usually just poach whatever is left from a fight. People really leave tons of good shit on the ground while they're under pressure or wounded.

Woods is AMAZING for scav loot I have no idea what you're talking about, and so is reserve, maybe not customs so much.

Shoreline is great too sure, but woods is a lot safer imo than shoreline, a lot less hot spots to avoid. And Interchange sure is good for food runs and selling to therapist, but ultimately you'll find better loot on reserve or woods just in buildings

Pp-19 is my favorite sub 140k 9mm gun to run. It's literally so fun and the mags and ammo are dirt cheap if you have PC LL3 (ap 6.3)

It's exaggerated in the game but they do function as a painkiller. Not like a pill where you will not feel pain but more of a distraction from pain.

You can put it on bug bites, irritated areas.
I get bad headaches sometimes, and I find that rubbing some on each temple helps alot with headaches, plus they smell really nice.
If you have any aches on your neck or back just rub some on and it will somewhat help. It's not a magic elixir but I find the stuff really nice.

@open cipher, it is extremely hard to open it if you twist it like the characters do in EFT. Not sure why they do that but it's the wrong way, the right way is to pry it open with your finger nail or just pull them apart straight.

@fathom summit I had a cold over the past weekend and my right nostril was completely stopped up and could barely breathe through it. Nasal spray would have likely been better but I found that putting the stuff on my upper lip helped quite a bit.

One misconception about golden star is that since it's called "Balm", it also works as lip balm. This is not true. If you apply golden star to your lips it will burn like hell. Also, don't go scratching any certain areas after it still being on your hands (I learned the hard way). The ingredient called "Camphor" makes a burning sensation which just makes your skin feel cool when you put it on, but if it's on an area like your lips or eyes it will burn.

I personally always put it right on top of the nose (outside walls) when i had it because of that particular reason ( above the upper lip was too sensintive.
