Alright, my biggest issue rn is the audio, footsteps are basically silent for me, and I have an extremely hard time telling if someone I heard is above me, below me, or on the same floor

Afaik you can dismantle it by going up next to it. Never tried it myself. you can also shoot the wire to trigger it and blow it up
