Radiation zones have been confirmed for a while. It's also confirmed there will be very high tier loot and endgame items within those zones. Similar concept to DayZ. It'll be the most difficult gameplay in all of Tarkov. With going to Radiation zones, being there too long will also risk perma death to your PMC. In which you have to reset your account completely and start over.

@fringe cedar basically too much radiation and your PMC will not be able to heal from it no matter what you do. BSG confirmed perma death from radiation less than 2 years ago. I don't remember the exact time frame.

Perma death was confirmed several years ago. Radiation overdose is one of the conditions for it to happen. Perma death has been planned since the beginning, and that never changed. Keep in mind once the game releases 1.0. BSG's plan was no more wipes. This is one of the ways they plan to keep people playing.

Yes. They want us to have 2 seperate PMCs. One is the no wipe servers, other being the wipes. To keep content fresh. If it works it'll be great. The no-wipe PMCs is part of what radiation perma death is targeted at. Say you've been going strong for 6+ months with your buddies and you guys are getting bored. You'll have the option to risk everything.
