try and find 1-2 other people to play with in duos/trios. Start off learning customs/woods/ and scavving into factory to learn the maps. learn to use your guns effectively at their ranges and when to take a fight or leave a fight and flank them. take maps slower and pay attention to where gunshots are at and how many pmcs you can estimate to still be alive or in raid. k, couple things i would change if you can
ram, like you asked. 16gb ddr4 3200/3600mhz is plenty (dont leave the old ones in there, unless all the sticks are exactly the same)
swap the ssd for a bigger one, might require cloning your old one, including the operating system on that drive (can understand if thats a bit too hard to do)
increase the pagefile to allow for better gameplay (helped me a lot on my old laptop)

in general, i would also advice to never buy a prebuilt, as building one yourself is cheaper and you can learn a lot from doing it
