Generally if a game relies on fast peaking and has high or instant ttks, hold is better. Longer ttks and holding angles, toggle is at the least as good to use as hold, if not in some cases arguably better imo

very similar to me, except I have either maxed or near maxed both vis and LOD, I'm looking at ~60-90 range. Particularily lighthouse for some reason runs worse, where streets runs fine. Woods runs especially well for whatever reason xD.

Either way it sounds like pretty similar-ish performance between a huge difference in GPU (3070 vs RX 7900 XTX), so my guess would be that CPU is honestly the more limiting factor.

Yeah probably roughly the same for me, except Streets weirdly enough, that one runs honestly fine for the most part - although I expect that 24GB of VRAM (as opposed to 8GB on the 3070 ti I used to have) is a huge factor in that.

Lighthouse especially, until not too long ago, it genuinely just ran at like 30-40fps at most, and commonly had me just kind of 'stuttering' around as if I had horrible ping. Just randomly stopped doing that, but even still struggles to get a stable 25

Tbf that'll likely make a decent difference, I'm not entirely what the specifics are, but I do have my CPU slightly OC'd, although when upgrading my GPU I also upgraded my cooler to a Noctua NH-D15S, so cooling hasn't at all been a worry. Had to upgrade my CPU because once I swapped to 1440p gaming I was running into thermal throttling and even thermal shutdown issues. Too bad I only realized that my rear exhaust fan was turned the wrong way around during installation of the new cooler xD
