I've never been banned, but I have had problems and BSG staff are pretty helpfull (unlike popular belief), so if you have a good amount of reason or evidence you could be unbanned by the end of the week I bet

just send them any old videos or clips from that night, even if it doesn't directly show anything @vivid briar

If it's like 4gb vram model, try using high + texture streaming setting for boosted performance, see if that helps a smidge, your biggest limiting factors right now are being on an HDD and 8gb of ram

So when I had the issue of not getting email confirmation, the ONLY thing that worked for me (after about an hour of searching forums) is to run the Compatibility Troubleshooter for the launcher FIRST, which will then suggest Windows 8 Compatibility. Simply setting it yourself won't work, you have to run the troubleshooter first, which takes a few seconds, so its not an issue.,
