One of the fundamental issues is people whom know nothing about computing or cloud computing if their using that is that a "Scale the servers derrrrpppp" issue wont solve it,
If they have a fundamental routing issue or a core network related issue, scaling the servers to the moon wont fix the issue, or even upgrading them wont fix it.
Unfortunately most of you are fixated on the incorrect areas.
Could be core network?, Could be a platform issue, Could be a mass array of things and that we arent privy to, So i suspect the keyboard warriors here need to put their heads back into the sand untill the devs actually fix it....

Iโm an engineer for data centers and I know exactly how this works @thick summit they are most likely using a subpar data center in Russia instead of using a superior Google data center for server hosting. Google has a few data centers in Europe that would work perfect for BSG but they would need to be the ones to take charge. Also their backend needs a ton of rework.

Building a platform is one of the simpler tasks, Having your application stale and be able to perform on sed platform is the harder point,
I agree with the fact that they hired people to re-work the backend suggest you're on the money with them / a release being the possible cause for an extended downtime of this nature.
One of the things i suspect is that they've rolled a fix out which is a breaking change and are unable to roll back being ~10 hours into this lol.

For example, guns on that game would have more recoil when shorter barrels are put on them when the opposite should occur unless they're drastically lighter and if they don't have a buttstock!

Heavy 12 gauge slugs on there don't even cause ragdolling when they can be up to 600 grains in weight while travelling at 350-500m/s which somehow doesn't cause any ragdolling nor a lot of pain and it should @crisp zealot! Anything that's not on-prem would be an ideal solution for a globally distributed network.
Isolation of release and isolation of code change per region would be able to be achieved if they've got no oddities in their code causing this.
I suspect its kept in russia for either A) money or B) Inability to scale thus housing it pretty local to accomodate for an exmaple, Inability to have long DB read times due to lack of ability to scale or multiply the dataset accross regions.. (Hypothetical thing as an example)

btw for people who are struggling to make money and do hatchet or pistol runs. if you run with just a hatchet or pistol and nothing else it seems the Dev make it so you are Cursed and tagged and the Ai will know where u are stupidly push you aggressively while yelling but if you take 1 piece of armor or chest rig or backpack you will not be tagged n cursed so the ai wont automatically aggressively push you and know where u are without seeing you unless you are moving loudly or shooting. hopes this helps anyone struggling to make money

@celest glen m8 im simplifying my exsplenation by overflow i mean stack and capacity. i dont know what the fuck u mean by "colliding with thier code" u couldnt run the fucking server basicly if thier was "collision errors" its litteraly a capacity as per the common error codes. the only BUG is they most likly have a fixed amout of server capacity. i dont exspect them too fix networking, or tick rates at this point as this is a trash tier 60 tick server but using an old build of unity thier is no real exscuse for unstable servers

nobody is reconnecting. This has happened to me 6+ times today. The server crashes, the entire server, that means everyone in game. IF the game gives you the option to reconnect it will not let you reconnect, these last few crashes have not even given me the option. The server just immediately closes down and rolls back to where your character has all the gear you went into raid with, but nothing you picked up in raid, as if the raid never happened.

There have been a spate of (alleged) false bans recently, you can find like a dozen over the last week on here if you search + another dozen more on the subreddit. Yet to see anyone have their appeals be successful but it's worth a shot.
