There are a couple other options as well to try first. That had worked in the past. You can try running in admin mode and make sure all your drivers are up to date first

I think something with the last few patches has borked up how it uses hardware resources, within the last week to two weeks there’s a lot more complaints of bad FPS, and it’s not a server problem @plain musk

Make sure you have use only physical cores checked in settings. If you have a hardware monitor installed you may want to have it running and see what gives out (if anything, it could be a weird server connection problem trying to get you back to your inventory) if you don't have one HWMonitor and MSIAfterburner are both good ones
On the launcher you can select servers and it shows average wait times and pings. It's not live updates but it's the closest thing there is to something like "is steam down"

@timid mauve Tarkov has trouble utilizing virtual cores properly since it's not optimized very well. If you have more than 4 physical cores in some cases you start to see problems as well. Smk is testing limiting the game right now and said he'd respond back with his findings

@median socket I’ve found that before the hitch, my GPU is running full out, and CPU cores used normally. After the stutter like two minutes in, GPU MHz cuts in half, and the cpu core usage goes down on all but one core which is pegged at 100. I don’t think it’s a server thing

Wonder if anyone else is having this problem or knows a solution, recently when clicking play the game has opened a little dialog box saying it's starting battleye but my system interrupts spikes to 100% and the whole pc essentially locks down for a solid 10-15mins before going back to normal. @median socket If you are playing reserve, its just reserve. Use a preset similar to this and you should not have any problems. The game wants to use CPU, so force it onto your GPU
Obviously if you are on 1080/4k you will go up or down in frames respectively

@shell robin go to your start menu, type in %appdata%, when it loads up, back out of "Roaming" and go to "AppData", Go into "Local", go to "Battlestate Games", go to "BsgLauncher", then delete "CefCache" and "Logs". Try that
it will not wipe your tarkov, you will however need to tell it where the game is located and log in again
Just refreshed your PC's knowledge of your profile, it will not wipe it

Ok, so I fixed my problem by running the 'uninstall_battleye' batch file under the battleye folder in the EFT directory. The game opens and runs fine every time, but as soon as I run the install battleye batch and try it goes back to locking the pc up

Updating the drivers worked last night, removed the problem completely. Today it started again and updating the drivers hasnt helped.
I even tried deleting all the files and fresh installing everything, the only thing that stops it is removing battleye

Hey so for everyone who was having trouble downloading the game i have found the full solution.
if you have xfinity you must go into your xfi account and disable advanced security
for any other service provider i used a VPN and that managed to download the game for me
for some reason isp's dont like games from Russia and block them from downloading
but for those with xfinity service just take off the advanced security and put it back on
after you download the update or the game
for any other connection issues make sure you look into your isp and see if they have any service for like protection or something that could be blocking you from doing anything

I can think of a couple of possibilities. Just note I can't be certain. First off, when Tarkov updated, it might of tried to re-read your audio settings and failed to.

The dude can buy some damn servers and some more ppl to help with the game. They do patches everyday, but not on the shit that effects gameplay. This patch they did last night was mainly for visual problems.

Russia has a large lacking of technical guys that aren't already working for the government one form or another. Two, Russian regulations to buy non-Russian-based servers makes it difficult for them to set up servers en-masse.

Does anyone else get into a state pretty frequently where they connect to a game for 10-20 seconds, then get a session disconnect, and then can reconnect repeatedly, but are again disconnected after about 10-20 seconds? Seems to happen to me quite a bit. Found a few people saying it can be caused by router security settings, or possibly windows settings. If anyone's had a similar issue and has resolved it somehow, hit me up. This does seem to happen when there isnt a more wide-reaching outage, as well.

This is in regards to the quest "Friend From The West Part 1"
The quest requires you to hand in 2 MBSS backpacks, but unfortunately they don't take into account if the backpacks are empty or not. I basically had stacked a bunch of MBSS together and there is 1 MBSS FULL of cigarettes (keeping them for a later quest) and was wondering if I could ever get my items back?
