Update BIOS, Download and run Driverbooster, make sure your account permissions are normal, stuff like that.

The only fix I've found is a alt-F4, as for preventing it turn off automatic server selection on the launcher, select 3-5 that's nearby you, and factory reset your router to make sure no awkward firewall permissions are screqing with the game.

Ok, that's something I actually know how to fix. Type MSconfig in your start menu, press 'Selective Startup' and disable 'Load Startup Items' press apply and reboot the PC then just confirm you've got internet and try to download the game again.

@zealous lava I'm not sure if I got what you said. I am using V-Sync, otherwise the framerate would be limited by the game. My issue is that I either have to play with V-Sync off and have my frame rate limited to 120FPS in-game (which comes with a set of own problems), or I play with V-Sync on and end up with an unlimited framerate, that's melting my hardware in the long run. My GPU sits at around 80°C if I don't cap FPS and my PC goes crazy in menues for no reason.

When you limit to 120FPS, you are more likely to drop way below the threshold you wanna be input lag-wise. Example from Counter-Strike: If you limit your FPS to 300, you will often drop to 250-280FPS. If you limit it to 500 or remove the FPS limit, your minimum FPS will rarely fall below 350-ish.

It doesn't matter if I sit at an average of 100, 120 or 144FPS, when my drops to the lows (70-90s) are way more frequently on the 120FPS setting, than on a way higher (200-unlimitted) setting. It's just a more stuttery experience in the end. It's about keeping frame time and input lag fluctuations low, not maintaining high FPS.

Id also suggest downloading NvidiaInspector and running NvidisProfileInspector int he file it comes in and there is something you can change from multi display performance to Single Display performance. Will make your main gaming monitor use all the GPU isntead of sharing witht he 2nd

Yes @small bronze if you just wait on that screen and pop around in the menu without leaving the final raid screen, items can appear. But also, verify you didnt do Offline mode.
