Hello! I just purchased and installed. After the launcher verifies installed files, hit Play button. Another Tarkov app starts up but then all I get is the spinning windows circle. I let it run for a while (like 10mins) but nothing changed - I could bring up task manager but could not select any processes at that point. Only solution is to restart my computer. In short: I have not been able to play.

hey guys, i reinstalled the launcher recently and now it closes seconds after opening. I get to see the three little dots and sometimes I get to see the language selection menu, it soon just closes after.

To be fair to them on the infrastructure side, they never anticipated the volume of players they're now handling. The game itself is worth the price (at least on sale). Dayz's issues went deeper than that, and are why it never really took off.
And "running smoother" is never as simple as it sounds. Ever.

does anyone else gpu spin up to 100% load only while searching for a game? i play with the high settings and it doesnt even come close to maxing the card while playing. but for some reason sitting in the que screen taxes my gpu like crazy. that must be one hell of a "matching" timer...

Result was an error and losing my MBSS with an alpha tac rig in it that was full of condesed milk and a pistol case full of M9A1's. I have also had items "Recovered" from Insurance disappear this morning, like, I lost them even though it said I could claim them, they appeared in the menu, I could drag them to my storage, but it crashed out of that "Storage" mode twice and I lost a load of stuff from the insurance.......
Not happy to say the least.
I lost a few Tactical rigs, 2 duffel bags, an AK, and a few other things.
All because the game went tit's up and decided that I didn't deserve to have the items back.....

So I wanted to craft a magazine case, I went to my hideout, started the crafting process, then went back to my inventory and I immediately notice an extra magazine case in my inventory AND all the materials needed for that case are still there as well. just got a connection loss then it wouldnt let me load back in then i closed the game. it wouldnt let me start it i had to reset my computer and when i got back on to reconnect to the raid i got "server connection lost" again

I dont think they use cloud based server what upscale based on Population They are running Old School backend Systems with manual Server management
with cloud server you never would need to annaunce that you add new server because that all would scale automatically based on Region.

They already confirmed that their servers are being stressed by announcing their current priority is to get stable servers, and adding more servers to more regions. It's clear they weren't prepared for the extreme stress of hundreds of thousands of players trying to connect to a total of 21-22 servers... We just gotta chill and wait it out

Except that the servers need to be incredibly powerful to be able to run multiple raids at the same time, with multiple real-time players and AI, with literally over a hundred of hitboxes per raid, so it's no wonder they overload with hundreds of thousands of people trying to play due to the boom in popularity...
For all the people asking if they are getting loot back from a run, most likely you will NOT get it back
