Nothing has to be cheesed though. Nothings really gated behind abnormally high skill levels beyond dubiously intended skips.

@sudden granite Not just you, it's been happening to me as well 'Server Connection Lost' at random times during raid...Sometimes I try to reconnect to find myself dead, sometimes I'm still alive just standing where I last was. Also, my internet doesn't DC when this happens, I'm always still connected to everything else on my end.

Cannot add sv-98 sil to thread adapter. The modifed weapon will take more space than available. Try repositioning weapon in other parts of your stash.

It was so weird. Booted up game, had labs gear on me. Silenced m4, gen4 etc. I swap everything out, for a mp7a1, tv-110, other backpack. Swap my docs case with my keytool and load up reserve. Go in, waiting for players took 7 minutes. Finally enter the game, all of a sudden I have my m4a1 in my hands and gen 4 etc. Also no keytool in my gamma, but my docs case. I'm like ok, well ill just extract asap, since i wanted to hit up the marked rooms on reserve, and my keytool isnt in my gamma. I extract and, my character is emtpy with loot. And all the items i previously put on, mp7a1, keytool tv-110 all gone from my inventory.

@pale cedar AK is very underrated. Learn to hip-fire in semi-auto and the AKs will be your best friend. Only thing "expensive" about them is the BP ammo, but it fucking shreds, and its a fraction of what 995 costs. M4s are overrated. You want to run 5.56, get an ADAR or HK (if youre not broke).

You can try to reinstall both the game and the launcher in different locations and run this script before installing them again. I recommend C:\Program Files\BsgLauncher for the launcher and C:\Program Files\EFT for the game.

I just purchased EFT and am stuck at slow install speeds of around 40 kbps. I have heard a couple other people have had this issue, and I tried running it as an administrator and turning off my ipv6, which gave me a solid boost for around twenty seconds before sending me back down to a really slow speed. Are there any concrete fixes for this, or am I going to have to wait? I normally get much higher download speeds on all other platforms

@ancient rover That's a common issue right now, sadly. I don't really know a 100% working solution, but you can try different network related things like restarting your modem and router, changing the DNS server etc.

Im in Australia, mate is in germany. We have always chosen a server in the middle, Singapore, to go halves with the bad ping but could still play together at least. @full sleet When he went to the upgrade portion on bsg’s website it directs him to a transaction screen. I don’t remember the company’s name but I do remember entering contact information as well as a valid email. Once you entered the credit card it should have said transaction/upgrade completed and you would receive and email confirming that transaction. Another way you can tell is to refresh the game and login to see if you now have eod, all of your stuff should have transferred to the updated account. You won’t lose anything in your stash and you will have the eod items sent through insurance.

Oh yeah it can be swapped out, you just need the right components. You can't put newer CPU's on the board, but you will be able find replacement parts if the CPU breaks.

Same goes for the RAM.

Graphics cards and SSDs/HDDs still use the same connector, so you can just replace/upgrade them without issues.

@sand breach DDR3/4 are not bound to i5, i7 etc.. It's just that DDR3 was the standard until a while ago and got replaced by DDR4. That's all. The CPU and motherboard you want to buy are 7 years old or so and DDR3 was just the standard back then. You can't say "DDR4 is just a DDR3 upgrade like i7 can be seen as an upgrade for an i5". Think of it a bit like USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. USB 2.0 works, but USB 3.0 is the standard nowadays and therefore everything uses 3.0. There is no reason to use USB 2.0 or DDR3 in new products.

Maybe that shows is a bit better. The numbers down there are just "years" (not accurate at all) and on the top there are CPU gens (not accurate either). As you can see, gen 1-3 have been released when DDR3 was the thing and therefore used them while gen 4-5 are recent enough to use DDR4.

So, say I keep this "stock", as in what comes with it from my buddy. Then I get say, the RX 580, what's the frames going to look like? I'm completely fine with 60fps on 1080p until I'm familiar with the concepts of the technology ect.

What I'm really looking at however is a gtx 1070, and as long as I can maintain 60fps on 1080p again, I'm fine.

I'll be playing tarkov, and dayZ mostly.

No matter what GPU you choose, the CPU will definitely be a bottleneck. You will most likely not hit 60fps on high/ultra in Tarkov and DayZ, but they should run.

The RX 580 is often said to be on par with the GTX 1060 (6GB).

#

It really doesn't matter too much which GPU you choose with the CPU you will be using.

#

I would just recommend you to get a used RX 580 or GTX 1060 (6GB) or better.

the good thing, is that it's relatively easy to acquire 300k in a single run. still sucks though

mine was a double click. i transferred a triton rig from my insurance return to my stash.

Not sure if its the same bug as mentioned in the latest announcement called "infinite heal bug"
...but I had a bug when trying to heal with an ifak that had 75/300 left to stop a Bleed.
The ifak heal animation would get stuck in a loop, wouldnt heal, wouldnt stop bleeding, and didnt change back to my weapon.
eventually i died from blood loss and lost all my gear and loot on labs.

Should be able to get 60 fps most of the time, but there are some maps with worse performance (Reserve or Shoreline, for example).

Shadows quality: Medium
Object LOD Quality: 3
Overall visibility: 1500
Shadows visibility: 80
Antialiasing: TAA
Resampling: 1x off
HBAO: Low
SSR: Off
Anisotropic Filtering: Off
Sharpness and the four boxes in the bottom: Whatever you want

You can drop the overall visibility to 1000 as well.

It only really matters on shoreline or very far objects outside of most maps.

There are some big areas, but you can easily tweak the settings to make it look good on low-end computers.

Though keep in mind that drops to 40-50 fps are common in this game even on high-end hardware.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled graphics drivers, checked windows updates, reinstalled th game, cleared cache of Tarkov, deleted temp files, turned windows game mode off, disabled fullscreen optimizations, Override high DPI scaling behavior.
