Hi there... guys, ive got a question about a such annoying thing in EFT... When the gunfight starts, or any player/scav is near me ive got a huge freeze.. The video and audio is buzzing and this sh1t is making the game not playable... Any solution on problems like that? My specs: CPU-i7 7800k, GPU-geforce gtx 1060Ti, 16gb of ram, 500Mb/s internet connection. I am playing normaly on mid settings in 1080p with around 80fps, but now im playing with lowest details (everything) with around 110-120 fps but all the time got the same problem... All programs are closed, ram cleaning before every eft launch, but always the same thing. No freezes when sniping from around 100-400m, only when someone is close to me or is shooting near me... thats mad. Thanks

That's an issue that will (hopefully) be fixed more or less completely with 0.12 soon. For now, you can try to enable the auto ram cleaner ingame, set your render distance to 1000m, the lod quality to 2 and the shadow distance to around 70-ish (play around with it until you don't really see weird really bright areas in the background, especially in big underground areas or buildings).

Tarkov just runs on a more or less dated version of the engine right now.
But that will change with 0.12 very soon. 🙂

Hi, so I'm getting pretty massive frame rate drops when I scope in with any scope (i.e. valday). I've got a RTX 2070, 16gb of ram, and can comfortably run the game on high settings and I'm getting 80-90 fps. However, as soon as I zoom in with the scope, I get massive frame rate drops (down to 30-40 fps). Does anyone know how to fix this?

You can try to lower the settings enough so the bad FPS while scoping is still 60 or more, but that comes with worse image quality, of course.
But generally dropping the view distance (1000), shadow distance (70-ish) and lod quality (2) could help a bit.

Just to fake a different location and IP address.. It can be a temporary solution for some things for sure, but it is definitely not a long-term solution and shouldn't be used as such.. Better solve the issues once and for good instead of having to rely on a VPN controlled by who knows what person sitting who knows where that is working with who knows how many other companies.
But idk, it seems like locking users in and not giving them control is considered "good design" nowadays as well..

Yeah it can be a bit weird sometimes.. Just walk around and try to find a spot where you can place them. I often had issues with "hidden" places and it often worked near edges.

I can not launch EFT. I get the BattlEys Launcher : Starting BattlEye Service.... Launching Game.... then I get another error that says Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
I have verified the game, re installed direct X, ensured my the game and launcher are allowed my my anti virus, I have comepletely uninstalled and re installed the game. I have diabled my anti virus , I am at a complete loss,

Antialiasing at FXAA and the rest is just preference. Do you like motion blur? Then enable z-blur. Do you like some distortions near the edge of the screen? Then enable chromatic aberration. Do you like slight noise? Then enable it. 🙂

Did you check if hyperthreading (HT) is enabled as well?
I wouldn't say "overclocking". The BIOS/UEFI just defaults it to 2133, which is why you need to activate the XMP profile so it runs at the advertised speed.

( This has been around 2 weeks ) But did scavs became harder? I play a lot of night factory and usually I kill all the scavs, but around these days ive seen scavs shoot me through walls and they are more accurate and aggresive as they were some time ago, have there been any changes to the AI behaviour reciently?

@vivid briar I've experienced something similar. I play around a lot with AI scavs and they seem at least a little bit smarter now, especially when it comes to spotting players in semi-hidden places.

Make sure your server selection is set to "auto". You can also try to clear your cache and check your game files for isses. You can do that using the launcher (there is a drop-down menu near your username).

Hello everyone I have had the game maybe 4-5 months I have had no issues running the game or playing maps but lately I have had issues connecting to certain maps and get sever connection lost I have cleared cache and reinstalled but still didn’t help any ideas

Hey, loading the game takes ages compared to normal loading time.
Traders are loading even up to 30 seconds to show my and their inventory.
When trying to connect to a raid I get a message "Backend error: Cannot connect to destination host". About this I already called my ISP and rebooted the connection on their end and mine and all else is working now just fine. This problems started aprox over 3 hours ago.
Any solutions?

Please help i keep getting stuck at "Awaiting session start" or "deploying in 00:00.000" I've lost like 8 kits (over 9 mil rubbles) and like 5 of of my friends kits to this stupid bug if tried alt f4ing but it doesn't work I've completely reinstalled the game and still i get the bug it ever stays at "Awaiting session start" until I alt f4 again and confirm leave, the game ends and I get "server connection lost" or a scav kills my player and then it says "server connection lost" as well.

now my question is since i inmediatly got the gamma container and increased stash size, if i accept the package with the gear from that edition will it reset the other items i have in my stash right now?
i have a solid amount of gear atm so before i accept the incomming package with the gear from EOD i need to know for sure that it will not affect my other items :)

Make sure you have your virtual memory just set to "automatic" for your OS drive and disabled for all others: Go into your control panel > system > advanced system settings > performance (settings) > virtual memory (change) > set all to "disables" except for your C drive. There you need to set it to "system managed".

It shows how to set a fixed size in the last step, but I would not recommend that. Just disable it for all drives except for the C drive, which should be managed by your system. 🙂

Yeah reinstalling the OS on the SSD and putting the RAM in the correct slot should fix it anyway.
I would highly recommend you to get rid of most of the pre-installed crap to increase the lifetime of your SSD if you reinstall the OS.

Anyone know what to do about reversed directional sound in this game?
I don't know what to do about it nor modify my headset's directional sound and I can't tell if surround sound is on or off on it because there's a button on my headset which turns it on and off but without an indicator.
I at least turned off surround sound on my operating system before however.
