First, create a restore point so you can undo any changes. (Start > type "create a restore point", choose that, click "create" and name it.)

To fix the TSL SSL error "Local problems on post" navigate to this registry key in the registry editor (start > registry editor):

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.3\Client

And right click the "Enabled" key on the right and modify the data to be 0 and not a 1. Click OK and then reboot and try the game again.

I’m about to get a upgrade for my system for Tarkov. I’m looking at a R9 5950x and a R7 5800X3D. Do any of you use these CPU’s, and if so which is best for 1440p gaming.

I only ask as most videos seem to differ in performance, and the clock speed on both CPU’s seem great. So I can’t tell if I should go cheaper (and yet more powerful) or more cores with a overall good clock base speed per core.

As far as I’m aware, Tarkov is just unoptimised. However, if you lower the native resolution. Or the ingame resolution, but stick to the main monitor preset (I assume 1440p) then you can get a fps boost.

That or you can also change another setting under the graphical page which I believe is for FOV, or something of that nature. Lower that to 2-3 and you should gain a significant fps boost.

grab a 5800x3d. the game benefits greatly from the large l3 cache. it performs slightly better than my 12900k

other games will not have as big of a boost but tarkov will be a huge increase with the 3d

I was getting the same thing . Fixed it by going and turning down the max cpu usage to 98% . I just made the ghz that the cpu runs at the same as what the spec is . When I’m on 100% cpu usage I got the same thing

So i paid fucking 50€ and get literally nothing from it. I cannot even download the luncher, because the mails to log in don't reach my provider. I keep getting this weird glitch with the music playing at 100% through my headphones when I go to load into a raid after turning my headphones on. But when I go to the settings it turns off because I have it set to music volume at 0%. Anyone know how I can fix this? do you have excessively big error logs, if you look at the logs folders?

megabytes-sized ones, rather than tens of kilobytes

the first exceptions should be EXCEPTION: System.IndexOutOfRangeException: NetworkReader ReadBytes. If so, you're shit out of luck. That's part of the invisible players bug that's still being chased around by BSG, and it'll keep filling your logs with System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object few times per second, filling up memory and eventually filling up paging space and causing OOM issues. Just take the log and report it, as there's nothing you can do about it.

trying to restart/clear cache may result in a playable raid afterwards, but it's not guaranteed

this happens mostly during loading a raid up, especially as a scav, so keeping the console open while loading in will allow you to abort immediately should the issue present itself there and then.

is it just me or is scav karma bugged right now? it seems that every scav raid i am being killed by other player scavs. so am i to assume that karma only goes up from killing other scavs? it seems to be a very popular thing to be doing and i just want to know if i am just an ignorant person for trying to work with other scavs? i see 0 penalties for killing other scavs. ive notice that anytime i have good loot i get insta killed by other player scavs. am i playing this game wrong?

When I say working with scavs I mean not killing them. I don’t care for Thier loot it’s theirs. I’m just sick and tired of every scav raid I die to another scav it’s gotten to the point where I feel like I’m the only person in tarkov not killing scavs as a scav. Doesn’t matter the map or time. The only thing that makes a difference is if I switch servers to scav and then switch back to pmc. I don’t understand scav carma and why it’s even in the game when it only punishes the people trying to play the game. It’s completely ruined scavs for me. It takes 10 min to get you 10 min or less to loot and end up dying half way through to some guy on the map killing other scavs. At what point do the ai scavs say hey he’s killed a scav maybe we should kill him? It’s extremely frustrating that as a player fallowing the scav karma system that I am punished for it. I just wasn’t sure if I was ignorant by not killing other scavs from now on. I just don’t get why not.

It sounds like you’re doing something wrong if you’re dying to scavs that often. Like it sounds like you’re the type of guy to steal raiders loot from a player scav that killed raiders and then get mad when you get head ears

I wish this was the case, but I would understand why I died if I was doing this. Majority of the time I’m actually the opposite, I hardly ever go for raiders as a scav, or high tier areas in the first place. I wish I would’ve recorded my last scav just so you could see exactly what happened from start to finish. As far as punishing players, if I have good loot on my and I decide not to kill other scavs what’s stopping them from killing me? Bad rep? So what, bad rep is pointless. I may have to spend a little more at car extract? That’s really the only negative. You should gain karma for being killed by player scavs, whatever they lose you gain. Especially if you aren’t shooting scavs yourself. The whole karma system should have been thought out before being implemented.

Hi normally on other maps I get around 120fps average, even on streets I have smth around 90 - 100. But lighthouse is literally unplayable for me, it drops sometimes from 120 fps to something around 50 fps and if i scope in, it gets even worse and it can drop to 20. first, RAM depends on the combination of your motherboard and your CPU (generally which generation of RAM you can use: DDR3, DDR4, DDR5 etc.) but there's sometimes constraints that depend on something else, sometimes motherboards or a CPU will not be able to run certain RAM speeds (or latencies but thats a different animal) this is dependent on your memory controller (part of your CPU or Motherboard that's talking to your RAM)

Do you actually plan on doing a full upgrade or are you just going to grab some new RAM?

your bottleneck is most likely your CPU yes, with your particular CPU you have something called the Infinity fabric clockspeed which will most likely make you unable to run (really) fast RAM

my recommendation would be to upgrade GPU>CPU>RAM assuming you are on 16 gigs (in your case)

Once you’ve entered your size of virtual memory, click Set, then click OK to apply the changes.
After that, restart your computer and give it another go

Keep in mind this will take up some extra space on your SSD for as long as you have that volume on

This will also very slightly decrease the lifespan of your SSD
Modern SSD’s will barely be affected (might even not be affected)

27 inch would also be more ideal for a 1440p display

at 32 you're getting less and less pixel density which makes it appear worse. 27 1440p is a good middle ground

go for a 28" 4k monitor and play at 2k if your gpu can handle it. make sure to get a monitor with 144hz or higher refresh rate

tarkov with a 30 or 60 hz monitor is rough and you miss a lot when the milliseconds count

also make sure it has at least a displayport 1.4 connection at minimum

pixel size on a 4k is much better than a 2k. my 4k 28" finally died and i went with a 2k 27" as a temp replacement and being able to see the pixels if i actually pay attention is super distracting

I have some questions about performance, mainly how I can increase it. This wipe has been pretty bad for me averaging around 25-30fps. I have a laptop with an i7-9750h, GTX 2070 Mobile 8gb, 16Gb DDR4, 1tb name m.2 and I'm running windows 11. I have watched countless videos about settings and tried everything from allocating additional virtual memory in my system settings, overclocking my cpu, using programs like process lasso and a ram cleaner to help as much as possible. I have seen no differences in performance, only a increase in crashes. The only thing I have been able to increase my frames is to reduce my resolution from 1920x1080 to 1600x900 but obviously it makes my game look horrible. Is there anything I can do or am I just out of luck?

Here is my cpu and gpu usage as well as my settings, playing around with it to see what frames i can get while still being able to see. The setting only physical cores seemed to help give me about 5-10 frames so thank you for that. As you can see my usages do not seem to be too high but my virtual memory is absolutely wrecked. I have set this to 2x my physical memory per a buddy's recommendation, which did help. Why is it using so much? Also this is an offline raid on lighthouse. I got about 5 fps more on shoreline.

im no expert on this game's tech stuff, i've had issues as well, try to restart the game after 6-7 raids if the console shows alot of errors (~ key) because something fucks the game up if you dont

theres a really good chance what i told you might work, and keep it in mind for other play sessions, after you see the game starting to drop frames in raid, restart and it all goes away for another however many raids

can you look in your logs folders and see if you have unusually large error logs in it? multiple megabytes large, by comparison they shouldn't be any more than 300KB top

usually they shouldn't be enormous, but if you do have them extremely large, it means you got it by the invisible player bug, which causes enormous memory leaks due to reoccurring exceptions during the session

then please open up a ticket with those large files attached and tell them you experienced lag and or degraded performance

as for a fix, none yet. This is a client-sided bug that intermittently happens. Only way to "fix" it is to leave session/restart client and pray it doesn't occur again

if you want to avoid it going forward, matchmake with the console open. If it starts throwing many exceptions continuously, then you can close the client and restart it to try and rejoin session
