they will only spawn in the no mans land area/by the e2 bunker and ags at times, southwest

they will also roam a lot around the train station to black bishop

Once you get far enough into the game to buy stims you can pop a propital (painkiller+hp regen) and zagustin (stops and prevents bleeding) to get a little bit of an edge in a quick engagement

One of many things that will help you identify targets is both what clothes they were and what voicelines they have, since BEARs have their own type of russian voicelines whcih is destinctive from scavs.
Also a way to find out what clothes PMCs can wear is by making going into PvP and making a character with the opposite faction of your PvE character, then in the trader screen you can go to Ragman and select services on the top, that lets you inspect all the PMC clothing (press rightclick to preview)
