the issue im having is i click join game wating for the the like 20 to 30 mins after passing time no game has started again starts counting time from start this has happend to me everytime

you will need to vote reset on the machines that do not boot correctly, and i also believe there are 2 machines that dont spin up correctly consistently (lion and spacejam) and for those you'll need to start a new game...

Yep, space jam and lion. I mean have them taken out of rotation. They have been dead for awhile. Just thinking out loud. You sit there and wait for 20 minutes and it a dead box so you start another game and might have to wait another 20 minutes. It’s just frustrating.

I can also confirm the Lion and Spacejam machines are broken since more than 2 months ago. You can also search their names together in this channel and read complaints about them 2 months ago. I also reported this, and also offered for help fixing the golden images used to deploy the machines.

The actual issue is hard to spot from outside since the machines are completely unreachable. Possible root causes: 1. a service is hanging the boot process. 2. Filesystem is corrupt and need manual intervention. 3. Network fails to initialize. 4. IP is allocated in another subnet/vpc. 5. Storage or files needed for deploy changed permissions or names. etc. Maybe checking the logs can bring more light about the root cause. If I can download the image I can try to debug in a virtual lab

Since they released the new region-based vpn configs, KoTH machines don't work. For instance my ip route uses 10.64.0.0/12, but the KoTH machines use 10.10.x.x. So I'll never be able to use the KoTH machines with the new vpn config

Most of the machines in koth can be done in seconds. I played with some good players before when they were still active. Others have "autopawns" or "one command liner".
I only use crtl c + v with my muscle memory on each machine still can compete somehow with them. Each machine has 2-4 ways on how to pawn depends on which way you want it fast.

Just take it whenever you're ready. I just got it on a free voucher giveaways at that time cuz I have ejpt. So I took it and failed then took the exam again after a week or 2 weeks I forgot it already lol

The advantage if you fail on the first attempt is you will encounter a different set of AD and network which is good because I managed to note their 2 different AD scenarios. Also 2 diff sets of network which is not that hard. You need to practice your web and burp that's what I can only advise u 😁

I remember that when I was playing KOTH and went to patch SMB for the EternalBlue exploit, SMB became somewhat unstable and accidentally shut down many AD services. You need to know how to patch it properly to avoid bringing down all the services

I'm not saying that you shut it down, but this applies to all KOTH players: when trying to patch a web app or any service, be extremely careful to avoid causing instability or accidentally shutting down legitimate services
