I dunno who you're trying to scare but going on Tor itself is optional, secondly, you can avoid the Tor exit node compromise altogether by sticking to HTTPS and enforcing TLS at all times and stick to E2EE. Thirdly, .onion domains are not affected by the exit node compromise as they're fully encrypted within the Tor network. And if you wanna be extra secure while being an idiot (ignoring HTTPS), you can do it over tunnels + Tor Over VPN which basically encrypts your traffic before you even get into the Tor network.

Windows is needed in almost all corporate environments. Most DFIR you do will be on Windows machines, not Linux. It's good to know but depending on what your career path is there are different answers
