the thing about helldivers for me, and well, more so my friends who I played it with

Was it was .... just the same but "more mobs".

Same maps, same objectives but just "more" as it scaled for difficulty.

I imagine a lot has changed since, might try and concinve them or run a match or two 😄

it was so fun I loved it but yeah I totally got the repetitiveness

But isn't any game repettive when you play it like 4 hours+ every day LOL haha. I think that's more the problem we had with it than anything

these type of games are not for everyone it's fun if you used the the items and switched teamates as needed. also your build determines how fun the game is

Ironically my favorite game of all time is BG3, a turn based, class based, story driven RPG. You’d think Clair Obscur would be up my alley. It even shares some VA’s.

But alas. Maybe I just don’t “get it” and I’m not in far enough.

Yeah, totally get what you mean. If it helps, for me, that genre is a bit here and there. As in there's some games that absolutely scratch the itch and ... those that in theory just doesn't really sink me

BG3, I've tried and I've tried, and everyone tells me to give it another go, I just ... I try but never commit.

Absolutely wonderful game but I fall into that trap of starting a new character/save - going "I'll finish this one" - play a weekend or so and drop it, then come back a few months later and repeat xD

skill issue. I just need to make the reason to complete it hahaha

but yeah BG3 is great even if I'm not really a DND person

I think that's the thing that appeals to me about BG3. It's so "open ended" right, you can have so much replaibility.

It's like the old fallout games for me. Hours and hours of doing different dialoguse - oh killing this person here and seeing how it pans out
