Hi guys, need a quick advice.
I am a recent fresh grad from BSc Hons in Software Eng, while my coding sucks i am good at prototyping, documenting creating srs, umls etc. However, now i am devloping interest in cyber sec and i am confused where to start from, i dont have a specific road map that guides me or puts me into the schedule of becoming a sec professional. In terms of my interest i am interested into VAPT or something that has good career growth, I also started learning portswigger labs but some of the things i find difficult to remember as its too many terms and things to remember at a time. Anyhow I came up with aiming for SOC and then getting into VAPT but some people are telling getting into soc will not help me grow in sec field and that later i cannot jump into PT, idk i am confused af. SO someone please suggest me a roadmap from the scratch and as well as what certs and how do i accquire those on the way.
