he didnt remove my gmail, its still there. whenever i try to forget password i get the code on my email. but the problem is after entering the code, they ask for identity verification, which i have done 3-4 times but it gets denied maybe because of the mismatch of the name on the account and my ID (idk) and so nothing happens then.

Have a look at the recommended setup for Evilginx. It gives you a fairly good picture of how it's set up in general. Most spam emails sent from companies are from either phised creds or malware that gets in and just hammer sent mail until noticed. Worms.

Yeah that makes sense - creds + token theft feels like the real game now, not just spoofing.
Especially with token/session hijacking, you basically bypass MFA entirely once someone’s in, so from the outside it looks like legit traffic.
I guess the bigger risk isn’t “can someone fake our domain,” it’s “can they operate inside it without triggering anything.”

Are you seeing more of this coming from phishing -> token grab chains, or direct infostealer logs getting sold?

guys, i wanted to ask something, i want to shift to linux on my college/uni laptop but i dont know how to. one of my friend's had done it, i had seen half the process and didnt understand anything but i did see that he had kept the backup recovery codes from aka.ms/myrecoverykey as he was dual booting, but when i checked on my laptop, the section was empty like the keys werent visible. what could be the problem ?

also i wanted to mention we all got the same laptops and he has used the reset this pc option once already, does that have any effect on the problem i am facing

I mean im sure there are tons of guides are you looking to really switch as in wipe windows off and only use linux does that work for the programs you need to run for college? installing linux is basicly just hitting enter these days so I am not sure what you issue is. If you are that unfamiliar with bios/boot options/boot from usb etc ask your buddy or read about it first

you can also just start with a linux vm or linux usb drive to boot of, that will already give you a feeling for it before you fully switch

if thats the ping they tell you to test in the howto that shows it works. Opening the url in browser only works if something is hosted there so sounds like you are successfully connected to the vpn of tryhackme and can do the tasks with your own machine.
