There's one minor downside to it; you can get used to the system, but not the driver/hardware quirks

Since VMs use specific drivers that are usually not perfectly emulating real hardware, and simulating edge-cases is difficult without very strong know-how

Best transition usually goes VM -> dualboot -> full system, with LVM to resize your partitions more easily

I recently made a erlc server called GBCRP with 140 members. A user by the name of Rick D raided us by integrating a bot outside of the server to spam everyone and links. Later, we banned the user. However, later a user by the name of Bett said he was the original Rick and was going to get revenge. They were able to see everything in our server like the had admin even though they were banned. Later, we found out they were part of a discord hacking group that pays hackers to raid small servers. Bett was able to see my dms and private group chats without being in it, even after I cleared unknown devices and logged them all out. Apparently, they also have a hit list and me and the founders of GBCRP are on it. The hacker server is called Discord truience host company which sounds legit but hacks people. Please help us cause our accounts aren’t safe. Peak is my friend btw in the photo, bett is the hacker. I am thing 3.

Idk sounds like a weird situation to me. theres really only 3 things. either the server is compromised. your acc is or your pc is.

if you forced logged out then your acc is fine just properly resecure it.
go change your email passwords too if you think your other accs got breached
go through all your server members and bots and relock down the server for now
if you downloaded dumb cheats on your pc you prob downloaded a MaaS and will be in another boat of issues.
