but seriously, depends on how much networking you know. learning how traffic is routed and being able to roughly understand packet sniffing, would be a good place to start.

or if you wanna skip the learning, then just learn aircrack or wifite

Netgate is a hardware appliance that RUNS pfsense. You can put pfsense on your toaster, if it has the right hardware

Well at that point you could do a ptp tunnel to a host you run outside and tunnel traffic back through tha ttunnel

Which is why i have a crazy protocol for building a hardened bastard of a remote node for deplyoing in hostile territory 😉

it starts with luks encryption for the vm's that do things ... and no luks keys on the host ... It ends with ufw preroutes that make traffic pass "through" the host like it doesnt evn exist . If you ttry to get in from outside you will be dissapointed, and if you hit the reset button to recover you will be really dissapointed

You realize by the time they've traced to nord, you probably have some sort of secondary issue (for example they compromised the host you were accessing with teh vpn to begin wtih)

@kind yoke .... At a top level, think of my landlord analogy. They still have the binoculars, and cant ell how many people are going to your door. THey can still tell if you are carrying a box, or bag UNLESS you take steps to protect that. Then also tell WHERE those people entering your apartment came from, and where they go after they come to your place.
