I hear abt most juniors in SOC burning out bc again they thought it would be “easy” and if u think pentesting sounds “fun” in reality only the “fun hacking” is one third of the job, I wouldn’t make assumptions on how “easy” or “fun” the role/position is, I would first start by finding one that u are interested in pursuing and studying and learning that skill repeatedly, I’m not saying this stuff is “boring” or “hard” - but if u assume without studying and knowledge on it then, there is a possibility that can happen, although I do wish u the best of luck in finding a role/position in cybersecurity ur interested in tho!

my homelab server i also run on my linux atm. i have cloudflare tunnel + zero trust infront then authelia 2FA before you can touch any services and behind that I have Wuzah for SIEM, OpenCTI for threat intel, spider foot for OSINT, netdata + uptime kuma for resource monitoring, and then IT Tools, Cyber Chef and searnxng for utilities, and portainer for overall docker img management, and then EmulatorJS with over 800 different roms so i can play games from anywhere, all self hosted, all very locked down, zero open ports on my router.
