I was about to say I was optimistic this would be the one that succeeded but upon refreshing it has not worked, at least the libsodium errors fixed because that was a nightmare

It does about 90wrms per channel and I believe it operates at class b at low power and class D at high power (I can't remember the classes but it transitions well between for high quality) and when it tops out because it's using vacuum tubes it fades out rather than squaring off like a solid state amp

Like that site's not designed to tell you how to design yours, it's designed purely to teach you how and why they work, technically as long as your circuit is designed to achieve the same sort of thing it doesn't matter how it's designed (although some designs may lend themselves to better quality/sound profiles etc.)

Like the Velleman K4000 used parts that were available at the time so it used toroidal transformers which was unusual for audio amps (and may still be I don't know) but there's nothing wrong with using them and they do actually have some advantages
