Same problem. Funnily enough however, Reddit doesn't complain if I visit it through Tor though, and even has it's own .onion service. So the natural solution was to route Incognito mode through Tor with FoxyProxy

If I have to look up reddit answers, r-click -> open in private window, problem solved

This is NOT a secure way of using Tor in general purpose, I just use it for similar cases to reddit
