If you see:
cifs = ownership is fake
nfs = root_squash is active

so it's not to do with permissions, it's to do with user id mapping I believe

technically /srv/shares doesn't exist on host, it's the mountpoint in the container, it's /Bulk on the vm and that's a virtiofs passthrough of a folder from the Host which is a ZFS array 🤣

I think I'll come back to it, the two options I can think of are to:

• remap permissions of the folder to match the container
• try and find the startup code for the container and adjust it to use the uids from the host

They're the one who tests it before it gets pushed to production. So the chances of finding an exploit in production are much lower than when you do it during the development process.

That doesn't mean it's not possible. I bet if you have the time researching the system, anything is possible.

I entered monitor mode, ran Wifite, and was able to capture the digital handshake between my iPhone and router successfully. The password wasn’t cracked since it (from my understanding) apparently wasn’t in the wordlist.
Is it only possible to crack the WiFi password after capturing the handshake if the password is guessable through a preset wordlist?
