But IMAP retrieves it and keeps it in the mail server

It's a lot better to google stuff so you're not fed gpt lies. You'll also get a hang of finding information more efficiently on your own without help of AI which is often wrong. Also using it might make you more inclined to use it for more advanced stuff, maybe even try to analyse some data with it at work, which would technically be a data breach if you fed private company data to an ai lol

yep, tried reaching out for some trainings and contacted my manager for possible relocation to soc but to no avail. current company is not as open as my previous one, in the last place i worked even tho i was l1 IT supp i was the designated person to work on all cyber sec issues landing on SD and collaborated closely with the SOC teams and the ISM we had. I've also prepped all documentation related to alerts, suggested some improvements and pointed out some dangers related to the app they wanted to roll out that would automatically act upon generated alerts lol
