My question is, how much harder is the PT1 certificate than "regular" rooms and does it differ a lot from these?
I'm currently a 0xA [Wizard] and feel somewhat confident going through rooms even though i can have problems and get stuck, I always manage to figure it out in the end.
I'm really not sure what to expect.

Let's put it this way. if you switch to a server that handles less connections at given time your experience will be smoother, as such server handles ex. 50 and not 500 connections at the time.
That's why, when you have premium it's better to switch to VIP servers, as they'll be faster
