Hi all, a qa here. I was assigned to a project where a long time ago some 3rd party security team ran an audit. And they left sooo many breaches unreported. So my question is:
I have 2 multi-tenant apps connected via oAuth, one of the apps is responsible for access/refresh tokens and sessions are maintained by 2 cookies (one per app). If I swap the session cookie for any request with a cookie of other tenant, I can get/update their data. So basically backend trusts the cookies but doesn't enforce tenant-level access control.
The question is, how important is this issue? The cookies are http-only & secure so stealing a session cookie of other tenant is gonna be quite hard, i believe. Would you say this is a middle priority issue? My lead seems to think it's not important
