There is a very technical explanation for why

Originally it was setup to give employees with the staff role on the website the staff role within the Discord server. But, this lead to two problems;

• If an employee didn't link their account, it would remove the role from them every 24 hours
• If an employee verifies with a different account, it will also remove the role from them

Solution? Give them the level 13 role which has similar levels of access, but also allows me to manually give them the staff role

Solution was to give them level 13 role, so give them level 18 role

Well, the solution was written when Level 13 was the highest level

However it wasn't changed because the difference between level 13 and any higher level (in terms of access in the Discord server) is completely the same

Level 13 is when you get the advanced channels and it does mess with our role statistics if we assign all employees to higher levels, not that it matters but it does take away the aura of being top level
