I've done like 98% off all AD boxes on thm and I can say it pretty much does, the only difference I've found compared to like HTB is that HTB goes on long rabbit holes while THM usually follows a way more straight plan

In HTB you're usually looking into the binaries of some random executables to find hints where to look next, it's wild lmfao

I currently only have access to my Discord, through my Desktop App (which signs in upon startup). My phone was destroyed, along with it my authenticators and therefore access to my e-mails (for now.). I still have access to my Desktop App and my Phone # tied to the account, but that's it. My password is so ancient that I have no idea what it was, and I'm afraid that I'll lose access to my account if it ever signs out - and I'd like to sign in on my phone, but can't yet.

So I'd like to find my own token for sign in purposes, but this is proving hard as I can't access the web UI / Browser version to use DevTools to log it.

I'm also talking with Support trying to convince them I am myself, the Token might help with that

It will put an extra weight on the scales, and might get you through a HR gate, but it's not a substitute for experience.

Focus on getting experience if you can.

Secondly, look at local job listings and see what they want. Sec+ is usually a good entry level option for a range of cyber jobs. OSCP is the entry level gold standard for pentesters.
Either of those could be useful... or neither of them. Check and see what people around you actually want to see.

I mean, I went straight into a pentest + red team job at the end of uni, part time during my last year then up to full time after graduating.
That was off the back of two internships and a bunch of certs.

Still nowhere near enough. I had the hacking knowledge, and the foundational knowledge of how stuff worked.
Didn't have any of the knowledge about how systems fit together in a big environment, or how to tailor my work towards the stuff people actually care about. Took ages to fill in all the gaps, even on the "social" side. e.g., "I'm missing network connectivity to a target, who do I speak to for debugging?" -- with experience (even in a different org), you'd know you could check the cmdb for info about the infrastructure. You'd have a rough idea which of the four possible network teams might have a clue, etc, etc, etc.

Figure out an area of IT you would prefer, try to enter into that first for at least a year or two.
