Before I commit to a room or module, I always glance through the content. I check if it meets my standards, is it aimed at beginners, or is it more advanced? Because let’s be real: titles and difficulty ratings are often inaccurate or entirely subjective. So I preview the material to see if it’s worth my time.

Sometimes I realize, “Okay, this is too basic, not for me.” Other times it’s too advanced and I need to look for something more suitable. That preview step is essential... and you’ve now completely disabled it.

You’ve locked the information behind a forced progression system, making it impossible to assess a room before investing hours into it. What happens when I finally reach the task I was aiming for, only to find out it doesn’t cover what I needed? Thanks for wasting my time. Because you took away my ability to check the depth and quality of the content upfront.

No. What we’re really seeing here is the result of a poor decision by the UX team. Instead of developing a proper progression system based on individual task submissions, they went for the quick-and-easy route: blanket-locking entire tasks.

Why? Because it’s easier to apply a script that disables all task containers (since they’re structured in separate divs) than it is to implement a thoughtful system that respects how users actually interact with the content. This wasn’t about improving user experience... it was about pushing out a “new feature” quickly, without investing the time to build it properly.

It’s a lazy shortcut dressed up as platform improvement.

I'm wondering if its client-side javascript, though... then we could just dev a browser extension to remove the lock

Why also learn cyber security when its content is already on the web and done by other people?

Also in Face-to-face interview you'll sit and open THM website when asked a question, finding the topic and module and rooms so that u can answer?

Making notes yourself and revising will help u keep them in mind for longer

Ikr thatswhy just note down the important things such as things u find u can't remember when u do it practically like Commands , Procedures ,tables some specific usages of tools etc

So that when u need to find that u won't have to Read thru the whole big THM room later
