I've been practicing on platforms like HackerRank to improve my skills. What I've noticed is that once I understand the algorithm or the logic behind a problem, I can usually find or write the code with the help of ChatGPT or other sources.

For example, on HackerRank, I came across a problem (I think the 3rd or 4th one) that required some pretty advanced math with matrices. But right now, my main goal is to learn programming, not deep math.

To solve that problem, I would have to spend 3–4 days learning a specific math topic, but ChatGPT can solve it instantly and even help me translate the solution into code.

So I wanted to ask your honest opinion:
Do you think I should spend several days trying to fully understand and solve each math-heavy problem on my own before moving on,
or is it okay for me to use AI tools like ChatGPT to handle the math part and focus more on learning how to write and understand the code?

Seriously though, there's this one CTF I came across on a Blue team website, and the last time it was solved was like in 2022 and only like 3 people solved it but the challenge expands all the way to like 2019 if I recall correctly.

I had tried doing research about it and there was a post on a forum in like 2019 of a person asking for help solving it and no one was able to figure out how to solve it and the crazy part is that the forum is the only thing that would appear if you try looking up the name to the challenge, meaning basically that there's no writeups or anything, just completely ghost.

I had first approached the challenge thinking yeah this is hard difficulty let me just go ahead and solve it to prove that I don't need to solve any other CTF and instead I came out thinking this is insane.

So I had decided to go to the discord server of the platform to see if any of the members ever tried it, fun fact, it's barely even mentioned and when it was mentioned it was compared to another difficult challenge that another person was struggling with.

I only seen the name being mentioned once.

It's just on a different level.
