I’m currently doing Cybersecurity 101 and I’ve learnt metasploit, nmap, wireshark, John & hashcat so far

I tried some ctf but I found them hard, like boot2root ctf, how do you do them exactly? The only common tools left to learn in this path are gobuster, hydra, burpsuite, sqlmap (and maybe a few more but not much)

I can only crack hashes till now confidently

Go thru some easy difficulty rooms. On THM...try to do them on ur own ...or if going thru the walkthroughs ..make notes of what had been done ...after understanding try the room on your own again afterwards

Initially do take help from writeups but later gradually try to do the rooms without them on ur own

Yeah, I agree. I found personally that you should really slow down on the rooms, take your time , take notes , understand whatever it is you find interesting… you’re gonna go down so many rabbit holes

If they still have access to the account, they can reset the password and remove connections to log the attacker out.

Discord is also adding a "recovery" system which allows you to regain access to an account if an attacker changes the email

Not sure I understand what you're trying to say.
But if an account is compromised, and the email was changed, just login to your email inbox which was the one your discord account was linked to and reset the password. It doesn't matter if the email was changed.

Tell that to your friend and it should be fine.
If the entire email address was also hacked, then contact discord support. We can't help you more than that.
If you can't contact the person - then we also can't help you.
