I am a complete beginner and I am with both THM & HTB Academy, both have its strong points and the modules are spot on, however! I feel that the way THM lead you through the rooms is a lot more easier to implant in the brain as the "technicality" is more basic and relatable.

there's a lot of accounts that get created, do a room or three and then dip, so it kind of skews the top %

it's infinitely harder to go from top 4% to top 2% than it is to go from top 10% to top 5%

Yeah it's pretty simple to move up, but I don't think it's a very good indicator, more experienced people that skip the early paths could have less points because they're mainly doing CTFs and whatnot, meanwhile I went through Pre-sec, Cyber 101, and now doing pen tester

I’ve also completed the Network Technician career path from NetAcad, so I have a bit more knowledge of networking as well.
I’m really motivated to continue, but I’m not sure whether to dive into a specific cybersecurity path like Offensive Security, Blue Team, or something else.
I’d really appreciate any advice on what would be a good next step or path to follow from here so it would be more clear.
