Kali isn't intended for use as a regular desktop os. It's used for penetration testing and can be quite unstable with frequent use. It's not usually a good idea to use Kali in a dual-boot setup, as it frequently breaks and needs to be reinstalled. Having it as a vm means you can take advantage of making clones and frequent snapshots, as well as things like a shared folder function. Dual booting can be a complex endeavour. You can get help with Parrot from their Discord, or Kali from their Discord. Also, if you're experiencing issues installing a Linux distro, it's a good habit to check Google or your favourite search engine, as it's likely someone has encountered your problem and posted a fix. There's a lot to consider when installing a new os on your system, including the hardware you have and the drivers necessary

So far, I have tried out Ubuntu, Mint, and Kali for Linux distributions. Between Ubuntu and Mint, Mint seems to be the more light-weight OS while Ubuntu gives a Windows-like feel. Both operating systems are used as a general-purpose desktop installation.

And then Kali is just... Kali. It's a OS meant to be used for penetration testing and cybersecurity endeavors. Parrot seems to be similar in that regard.

Depends. There are some challenge rooms that are friendly for starters, but I would suggest going into Jr PT or SOC L1 to build some technical skills on top of your knowledge.

If you decide to try out a THM event, I would recommend Advent of Cyber. Very beginner-friendly.

It's a simple search algorithm that returns a list of all articles containing the word you searched, then selects the first result.
As a new article was added which ranks higher in the list, it returns that article.

If the discord bot is built with... frick I forget what they're even called now its been so long. But you write a seperate python script and then that is basically your function and the main bot imports it sort of / uses it when a command is called...

If you are referring to cogs, that is possible yes.

We don't use that type of system because it's not written in Python, I took the bold move of writing it in JavaScript.
We still have a modular system however, it's just not as kept.

I wrote the bots from the ground up and there is a lot of inefficient code due to time constraints. I want to rewrite the bots entirely to move to a new framework
