to make a long stroy short the room temp thing, comes from the chateaux in Frances centuries ago, were the température des chambre (translated as room temperature) was 18 C more or less, so the wine should be at 18 C for the red a bit less to depends on many factors, but not room temperature because if it's summer and you live in hot region your room temp can be 30 C 😂 that's why room temp is in obsolete term, usually use for people that don't know much about wine, that my thermometer if I hear somebody talks about room temp I run as far as I can 😂
