VSC is lovely but there’s very little use for full Visual Studio anymore, with so many build systems moving away from it and more, even on Windows where compiling sucks

Just know that even on M1 and up hardware, emulation of x86 is going to be slow, slower than even Rosetta 2 native macOS x86 to ARM

Yeah, in VMs it would be a nightmare if you tried to run i386 or i686 images on the aarch64 hardware. Emulation would be killer on performance if you even got it working

I’m big into emulation and virtualization, but in this case “because I can” and “it’s fun to setup and play around with for a couple afternoons”

Realistically on less constrained systems, I try every OS I can get my hands on for knowledge and experience, and because “it’s just neat”
