my sons old laptop has been laying around on my desk not being used. its a cheap little Asus Laptop L410 (L410MA-DS21). It was something I got him as a test to see if he can be responsible (2 years ago) which he was great with it and now has his own desktop.

Anyways, now he doesnt use it. I was going to throw a fresh install of Linux on this puppy. I wasnt sure the "best" way to go about it when it comes to distro and what the machine can handle. Ideally would be nice to have Kali on it for playing around but I very much dont think the machine can handle it. Thoughts? Somebody more knowledgable than me.

but yeah, that just means the model doesn't fit into the allocation

meaning it doesn't fit into VRAM on your GPU
