I have been wondering ... should i do a Master in Computer science ?

I have the possibility to do so

Not many people have a Master degree

It's a mixed bag.
It would depend on your country and what you want to do in your career.

If you don't enjoy academia, I don't think you will necessarily be missing out by not taking a masters.
I would recommend posting in #cyber-and-careers and give a few more details.

Yeah it would depend on country but it also depends on your success

Nah nah, i would say it's more on paper and suitable. I see no problem on publishing a paper without any degree

Computer science is a great degree because it opens you to the entire of IT.
And what is great about working in IT is you don't always have to worry about being in the country to do the work.

I believe it has some sort of acrediation in compsci but the degree is Cybersecurity

Having a degree stick to you , your whole life . Many positions give higher pay from just owning a degree in the governement

not that anyone should bank on a backup plan but, another benefit of being degreed is incase you want to change careers later. a lot of middle and upper class salaries require a bachelors to be considered. in my area at least (US), even to be a public school teacher or something similar you have to hold a bachelors.

If you have relatives who are presidents or Members of Parliament, you are easily placed into a government job

If i can get a job before graduating, i don't think i will pursue a Master's

But i would like to do research and publish papers as a professor why not

I went to my first meeting with my dissertation supervisor, stated off the bat "this is no where near what it needs to be but I thought I'd show you so far to answer some of your questions and give you an idea what I'm doing" and he just kept saying "it's all rubbish, this isn't what you need to do"

he said more than that but he essentially tore apart all my work and gave no feedback other than that it was rubbish so I complained to the course supervisor that he was being combative rather than constructive, arguing definitions and failed to actually understand basic definitions such as that of primary data

I've actually been told to keep her in the loop and CC her into every email with him, I did say to her in person that every other lecturer seems more interested in my dissertation and have been more helpful despite not being my supervisor.
I don't go to my supervisor, I go to other people's supervisors

I came out shaking angry after that first meeting and told his next class some very strong words about him as I left the room

I am very much a speak my mind person, if I don't like someone I let them know as long as I'm not in a work environment. I remember our committee kicking a lad of the society for various reasons and I turned round to him when letting him know and said "look, I can't fucking stand you" before providing him with constructive feedback about how he could improve as someone learning cyber security and as a person overall
