The numbers vary. Because it’s hard to communicate a specific sensation or level of activation in muscle tissues. So numbers provide quantitative values. But sufficient amount of total fiber activations and proximity to failure is the secret sauce

The process is different from the result lol. The final result you get will be accurate. I’m also fairly sure medical resting metabolic rate tests do not take into account your daily activities and are generally not a 100% accurate either

The last part is gaining the sensory feedback and coordination to feel the workout. If you are trying to gain strength it takes practice to build the coordination and muscle fiber recruitment

Never said 100%, let's not move goal posts. The initial conversation was using an online calculator with trial and error versus getting a medical test. The medical test is going to be more accurate.
Hypertrophy you will have fatigued muscles. But for strength development, you want them fresh and performing. Often much longer breaks between sets. And lower reps for this reason. It’s about moving the larger weight once, not so much many times

Mifflin-St Jeor Equation/BMR online is not accurate. You need measure BMR through a calorimetry device for 100% accuracy.
You can use online calculators for a rough guide but it can be affected by lots of variables

Personally I use RP Strength's app
Yea so, break it into 2-3 week chunks. First 3 weeks 10-12 rep, adjusting weight to keep rep consistent. Then decrease rep to 8-10, increasing weight. Then 6-8 reps, 4-6, then 2-4. Each 3 week interval adding more weight as you reduce rep. When you get to <6 rep ranges back off on going to failure and add more rest between sets of 3-4 etc

I can personally recommend Soflete training programs, but free 12-week Sprint Triathlon plans are great too. Make sure to hydrate and stretch. Probably the most important thing.
