CompTIA certifications aren't really hands-on and are mostly theoretical

if you're planning to take Cisco exams, you must really know the material in-depth at a technical level

a great example is that the Network+ expects you to know what a router is and routing protocols at a high-level, while the CCNA expects you to configure OSPF on 4 routers in a single area

Dude nowadays, I have mastered the gift of gab, cracked the code so to speak, I can confidently bs my way through most interviews without being asked a single technical question. It's all about making them talk about themselves and eating the time up. Then when it's time for the technical aspect they have time for 1-2 questions and I answer them and then we are good to go. But they remember likeing me. Thats the key in most interviews. "Can I stand this guy long term" is a very real thing and something I personally do when interviewing candidates. I will say, I do not afford the same chances of flattery when I am interviewing people if it's for a more sr. role. I blitz you with questions and cook you like a high pressure cooker. That way I can see how you do under pressure since its required. THEN I will bs with you and let you relax.

But I typically go "Alright, let's get into it" and I just start blasting foos

I completely agree, all I need is time, practice, and dedication. Being that I’m new, yes everything is going to be slightly intimidating, but as long as I stay focused I can do it! Especially being backed by such a large community of friends peers

many monitors have the AC power supply within the monitor body, which means mains voltage power supply circuitry inside

for the same reason you don't take apart a computer PSU if you don't really know what you are doing, you probably shouldn't be taking apart other power supplies

while it's not likely to be dangerous if unplugged and discharged, its still probably best to suggest against
