This raises a valid point too. It's not like every company that has included AI has developed their own system and requires their own local AI to host it. A lot of it is outsourced out to the major competitors, leading to more efficient use of the AI computer setups.

Now Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the use of the massive amounts of electricity to be able to feed these machines. I do however want to bring in the thought that maybe since it's used so widely and hosted by so few, that maybe it's actually not that power hungry?

in one of my past jobs i had a non-technical manager who wanted to get involved with the stuff my team did, and was obstructive and annoying because he literally didn't understand things. during a skip-level assessment (review your boss) i recommended that he get the comptia A+ then he'd be able to grasp the stuff my team was doing. There is a min wage in the UK. So expect to be earning that. Anything above that is a bonus. Maybe you don't wanna earn merely £8.60 an hour. But think about this - How much did you earn in the last hour?
