Had issues with RAM sticks I had in for 6+ months
Reinstalled Windows completely

No issues for a few months

Resinstalled VMware and setup a VM
Games start crashing and Windows starts BSODing because of memory issues
Buy two 16GB RAM sticks instead of 4 8GB ones

Issues continue and I have to reinstall Windows again.

Don't install VMware for 3+ months
Install VMware two days ago and today my whole PC freezes
I manually power off because of it not responding and my PC boot loops until I take one of my RAM sticks out

I wouldn't know where to start with diagnosing the problem as I spent about a month and even sent my PC to a technical team who also couldn't find any issues (although they wiped it so if VMware was the issue, it could be).

I also experienced problems with Wifi not working and being massively capped, which I also had on my old PC but just chalked it up to Windows being Windows.

We all have slow days, I'm sure if you write down every single topic and thing you learn, by next week you'll have a ton of documentation showing that you are improving!

I have the same thing in video games. When you first start playing, you get those dopamine releases from completing tasks and getting all the beginner rewards, but then you move onto the harder and more obscure challenges that you can't complete as quickly.

Take regular breaks, reflect on content you've studied in the past (it's great for memory consolidation) and make sure you are only comparing you to yourself last week!

Mental health is one of the deeper topics that I could talk about for ages!

My main points are:

• Ensure you are regularly sleeping and not for too long or too little
• Eat at least twice a day, ensure it is a balanced meal
• Every hour or so, stand up and go look at something far away for 5 or so minutes (look out your Window, count how many cars/ people/ birds you can see)
• Avoid caffeine but if you feel you need it, no caffeine after 6pm
• You're already exercising which is great! Don't think you need to go and do heavy workouts. You can even go for 20 minute walks everyday and that will be enough

Nobody expects your mental health to be great all the time, don't feel like you need to hide or push away negative emotions. We all have bad days. Address what's wrong, process your emotions and if you feel like you need to take a day off do it!

Everyone is different so learning about how sleep and caffeine affect you can help you figure out how to get on track, best methods for managing or getting into a routine and even symptoms that you may have from lack thereof 😊

Caffeine can actually become ineffective after a while. It has a half life, you need to let it leave your system regularly.

it has a lot of tools and its good for a lot more than rescuing linux systems

but I find distros that lean on prepackaging programs as its main purpose lame for the most part

sometimes the system ends up jankier than using a normal distro and installing the same programs yourself.

Yeah with flatpaks you have to manage perms if you want your program to access certain directories, not to mention gtk and qt themes usually dont line up with what your desktop is using

the buggiest flatpak ive used is probably kdenlive
