On related note, lucid dreaming is actually an illusion of free will (just like real life hahaha but no fr though that is legit that is actually the scary truth but too much to cover here so anyway..) when you dream that you have control over your dreams, you don't "really" have it. It's just dreaming that you have it, which makes it basically undistinguishable when in the state of dreaming. One achieves "lucid dreaming" by planting the idea into their head and the brain when it is asleep happens to pick that idea to run it through visualization without logical thinking, just like any other dreams. There is no real time control, it is identical to other dreams in sense that time doesn't flow at all, all the memories that are remembered of you doing stuff in the dream get almost instantly generated and without critical parts of your brain checking if anything is wrong you in the dream state just "is", it exists now. Did I guess. Until you wake up and remember it like its a memory not knowing it didn't actually happen in any sort of flow of time
