The deployment can have all sorts of misconfigurations and security issues, which could allow an attacker for example to compromise an EC2 instance running a web application and then pivot through the cloud environment using the instance's credentials

I don't know that people do a good job doing it, a lot of rudimentary errors are still made.

AZ-900 is pretty foundational, not sure I'd recommend it

The market is dominated by aws and azure, the remainder is a pretty small fraction and a lot of GCP and alibaba cloud and all sorts

I knew a little and I yolo'd the practice test with around 95%

I'd certainly say try the practice test, see where that puts you
