can someone offer some advice. I have been away from my laptop since june. I am now getting back into things and fired up vitualbox and my kali vm. I decided it would be a good idea to update it so I did sudo apt update and then when that finsihed I did sudo apt upgrade everything is fine until I go on again the next time and once I fire up the VM and input my user name and password I get a message saying "Box client: Virtual Box kernel service is not running. Exiting." and then screen starts doing funky things if I move the mouse. I tried going back to a previous image and trying again and I get the same thing. What have I done wrong??

The only thing I dislike about Cyber Security 101 is that some rooms are basically the same as complete beginner but not exactly. So you are not counted as having already done them. But you still have to go through doing stuff you already know with slightly different questions.

This depends on the theme of the event, but usually they include cryptography, reverse engineering, linux, steganography challenges etc., atleast from the ctf events that ive attended. I'd probably recommend solving some challenges on PicoCTF.

I've completed a couple of rooms I have not done yet. Got 2 50$ Amazon vouchers.
Then I resetted a few rooms I've already done before the event started. Once I completed them again, I got two vouchers in each room, where often one of them was the 50$ Amazon voucher.
When looking on the tickets which are shown on my profile, I have not got any of the vouchers. So I still only have two.

I don't want to open a case here, I'm just curious if resetting previously done rooms really work.
